Choral evensong and Organ concert
March 2 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Invite a neighbor and join us for an afternoon of musical prayer and celebration.
The service of choral evensong has a history of nearly 500 years, and is of the great liturgies of the Anglican tradition. Close your weekend with this unique opportunity to unplug, reconnect, and be spiritually fed. No need to fly across the Atlantic!
Organist/choirmaster Ted Davis will lead the St. Bartholomew Choir in the service, which will feature the evening prayers by Sarah MacDonald, evening canticles by Herbert Murrill and the anthem “Cor meum set templum sacrum” (“My heart is a holy place”) by Patricia Van Ness.
Following Evensong (about 5:15 pm), we resume our ongoing celebration our spectacular Casavant-Storey organ completed in 2007. While you may hear it on Sunday mornings, you might be surprised by the instrument’s full potential when given the opportunity to “let loose” a little more! Guest organists Alice Real and Luke Digiacinto, both graduate students at the Peabody Conservatory, will share their mastery on a delightful instrument.
Admission is free; donations gratefully accepted.
