Bach at St. Bartholomew’s 2024

Now in its 17th year, the annual “Bach at St. Bartholomew’s” series celebrates the musical genius and range of J.S. Bach as evidenced in his massive output of music for keyboards. Performed by Theo. S. (Ted) Davis, this concert features a joyous and flair-filled sampling of music for organ and harpsichord.

There is no admission charge–all are welcome. Freewill offerings benefit the music events series at St. Bartholomew’s and the parish outreach fund.

Sunday April 7, 4pm:  “Partita Party”: a joyous and flair-filled sampling of Partitas for organ and harpsichord (Organ:  Prelude & Fugue in C, BWV 545; Partita: “Sei gegrusset, Jesu gütig”, BWV 768; Harpsichord: Partita No. 5 in G, BWV 829: Organ:  Toccata & Fugue in D minor, BWV 565.   View on Facebook

Sunday April 21, 4pm: The “Goldberg” Variations: a monumental work, long been recognized as a towering achievement and a shining example of Bach’s creativity. View on Facebook.
